I am 3 years on the road, but seldom have been in a hostel that gives you such a homey feeling. Joelle, the owner is a unique mix.... one of a kind, always in for some jokes and fun and always present. Helena, a lovely Italian volunteer, gives you a very warm & professional welcome and always ready to help. Very good breakfast, swimming pool, garden, bed with curtain, own light switch & plug. Futhermore I was very lucky to meet so many nice people when I was there, it felt like one big happy family.
The people in the hostel are amazing and the best breakfast I had, with French crepes and all kind of fruits. The room was really nice, with plently of space for our bags, air conditioned and very clean. The living room and kitchen is very spacious, clean and well equipped. In addition, the swimming pool is very cute and the garden very cozy. I cannot recommend a better place than Isla de Francia :)
Joel and his lovely lady were super friendly throughout our entire stay and gave us the most generous of welcomes when we arrived late and hungry.
Our room was immediately next to the dining area so light sleepers will be woken up when guests are having breakfast but for the price we cannot complain.
Be in no doubt, the hosts will look after you and treat you like a member of their family.
Just one suggestion from me - a soap dispenser next to the bathroom sink would be helpful.

Probably one of the best hostels I have been in South America, the owner, a French from Bretagne, is open to conversation and doing amazing homemade breakfast, with his famous crêpes.
